This is the official web site about the SWF Swimarathon, organised by The Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers.
The Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers is holding its eigthth Swimarathon from 9th March until 113th March and is organised to raise money for Charities and good causes.
In 2012 we are supporting Farleigh Hospice and Rotary Charities. The event entails teams of no more than 6 sponsored swimmers to swim for a total of 55 minutes. The sponsorship money will be donated to the Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers Charitable Trust to add to funds for the support of good causes.
Charities taking part can nominate 25% of the funds raised by them to go to their own charity.
There are rewards to Teams & Individuals taking part:
- The school entering the most teams - The Mapleford Challenge Cup
- The school which raises the most sponsorship money - The Rotary Award
- The team that covers the greatest distance - The Kingsview Group Cup
- The firm or organisation entering the most teams - The Electro (UK) Ltd Business Challenge Cup
- The person who raises the most money - Medal
- The team that stands out with the best presentation and out fit - Medal
- The person who shows exceptional performance - Medal
South Woodham Ferrers PoolBy holding the Swimarathon here we have not only been able to raise money for charities but also promote the pool's facilities for the larger community. This is a fun event which allows everyone to support charity at the same time. The Rotary Swimarathon committee are dedicated to organising the event and trying to make sure that all of our supporters are well informed about it and will find it a fun event to be involved in. We have online team booking in, as well as using letter and telephone systems. |
